 ABOUT CAPCITY LEGAL

CapCity Legal was founded by two dedicated individuals who met at UC Berkeley School of Law, united by their passion for justice and a commitment to serve low-income communities. Recognizing the barriers that socioeconomic challenges create within the legal system, they formed CapCity Legal to provide accessible legal support to those in need.

OUR FOUNDERS

Randall, a licensed California attorney, is a Senior Attorney for Caltrans and brings a wealth of experience from his work in corporate and business law. His dedication to justice is matched by his commitment to serving marginalized communities.

Burk, while not a licensed California attorney, has a diverse and extensive background in the legal field. He externed for a federal district judge and clerked for the Third Appellate District. Burk was one of the developers of the mediation program at the Fair Employment and Housing Department while working with the California Center for Public Dispute Resolution (now known as the Center for Collaborative Policy at Sacramento State University). He also has an extensive work history with California state government, where he has been involved in solving issues of first impression, bringing innovative approaches to complex legal challenges.

OUR MISSION

Since 2019, CapCity Legal has been successfully helping individuals navigate complex legal challenges, providing exemplary legal services to those in need and making a meaningful impact in the lives of abused and impoverished women and young adults.  As a nonprofit organization, we strive to break down the barriers to justice that often exist for those with limited financial resources. We offer exemplary legal services ensuring everyone has access to the high-quality legal help they need.

All services provided by CapCity Legal are offered by licensed attorneys who are either associated with CapCity Legal or are Of Counsel.  CapCity Legal collaborates with various organizations, including Placer People of Faith Together, to unite individuals and communities in addressing pressing legal challenges and fostering justice for all.
